The Shock absorber is mounted to the body of the vehicle by a rubber-bonded metal bearing. The rubber to metal mounting isolates the body of the vehicle from vibrations and noise.
This mounting bearing is exposed to changing weather conditions and all various kinds of strain placed on your vehicle‘s suspension system.
We recommend that you always replace the shock absorber mountings when replacing your shock absorbers to restore your vehicle to its original ride quality.
